Men's Cold Weather Shelter

DO YOU OR SOMEONE YOU KNOW NEED A BED?

If you are a single man over 18 in need of shelter between November and April, call the Baltimore County Department of Social Services at 410-877-8463 and ask for a referral to our cold weather program. You must have a referral to be considered for a bed. We do not offer walk-in shelter.

We offer a 16-bed shelter for men every night from November 1 through April 30, open 6:00pm to 8:00 am, with dinner and breakfast available. Men who are referred and accepted may keep their bed as long as they follow our rules and wish to be with us. These beds provide a comfortable place to sleep and be out of the cold, as well as become a starting point for case management leading to progress toward rehoming. Each evening when the shelter is open, the meal is provided and served by one of our many meal teams from churches, family groups, community organizations, or friends.

OUR CHURCHES & ORGANIZATIONS

Churches for Streets of Hope began with a coalition of area churches who wanted to help our local homeless community. It now includes more than 25 churches plus a number of organizations who participate in our ministry, and we are always looking for more.

Member churches and organizations can attend and vote on essential decisions in our annual meeting held every Spring. Find out how to get your church involved with Streets of Hope by emailing outreach@churchesforsoh.org
