Resident is informed of his rights and responsibilities during the intake process. Rights and Responsibilities will be explained, and a copy provided. For non-English speaker attempts will be made to provide explanation in a language he understands.

RESIDENT RIGHTS:
(1) The right to privacy, confidentiality, and respect.
(2) The right to copies of personal documents to make decision regarding services.
(3) The right to equal access to services for all persons in need regardless of race, creed, ethnicity, religious affiliation, age, sexual orientation, ancestry, national origin, physical or mental disability (including substance abuse) belief or political affiliation.
(4) The right to have access to the grievance procedures and receive a decision in a timely manner.
(5) 5. The right to actively participate in decision.


RESIDENT RESPONSIBILIES:
(1) Be courteous and respectful to staff, volunteers, Board Members, and Visitors always
(2) Adhere to shelter rules.
(3) Participate in chores and help keep the facility clean and sanitized.
(4) Smoke in the designated area and do not litter.
