During the year we go to a number of community events, such as Essex Day in September and Dundalk Heritage Day in July, as well as Resource Fairs all year round. Our Special Events Volunteers help with transporting and setting up/taking down the canopy, tables, chairs, and materials that are displayed or given away.
Special Events Volunteers may also be involved in planning for our appearance at various locations, bringing a fresh approach to the event, and engaging with the public that comes by our table.
Fundraising events may be another time when Special Events Volunteers are needed, especially if set-up and take-down of tables and chairs are involved.
Churches for Streets of Hope began with a coalition of area churches who wanted to help our local homeless community. It now includes more than 25 churches plus a number of organizations who participate in our ministry, and we are always looking for more.
Member churches and organizations can attend and vote on essential decisions in our annual meeting held every Spring. Find out how to get your church involved with Streets of Hope by emailing outreach@churchesforsoh.org
